Golf balls come in a variety of colors, qualities, and softness ratings. ![[GolfBall-BagIcon.png]] ### Uses and Dirtiness ##### Uses Overview All New golf Balls come with 100 Uses which limits the lifetime of the ball. - Every hit is 1 Use - Collisions with Cart Paths are 5 Uses - Collisions with Trees are 2 Uses - Collision with Other Objects/Structures are 2 Uses ![[GolfBall-Uses-Full.png]] ##### Broken Balls When a Golf ball Reaches 0 Uses it is Broken and becomes Useless - Broken Balls should be thrown away - Can still be hit but causes : -10% Power, -10% Spin, -10% Hook/Slice ![[GolfBall-Uses-Broken.png]] ##### Dirtiness Golf Balls accumulate Dirt. This happens when a ball contacts certain surfaces. - Rough : +1 Dirt - Sand : +3 Dirt - Dirt : +6 Dirt - Tee/Fairway/Green : +0 Dirt - Others : +2 Dirt - Dirt is also indicated on the Balls Uses bar - Uses is Blue, Brown is dirt (Covers the blue bar) ![[GolfBall-Uses-ScaleMix.png]] A golf ball can only accumulate Dirt up to its Uses, then it is considered Dirty. - Dirty Balls behave like Broken Balls - Dirty Balls will render Brown in game ![[GolfBall-Uses-ScaleDirty.png]] Use a Ball Washer any time to remove Dirt! ![[GolfBall-Uses-BallWasher.png]] ### Harness/Softness Rating This rating sits on a scale from 0 (Hardest) -> 1 (Softest). ![[GolfBall-Softness-Scale.png]] ##### Hard Balls - Fly, Bounce, and Roll further : up to +5% - Hook, Slice, and Spin less : : up to -5% ![[GolfBall-Softness-Hard.png]] ##### Soft Balls - Fly, Bounce and Roll less : up to -5% - Hook, Slice, and Spin more : up to +5% ![[GolfBall-Softness-Soft.png]] ### Quality Rating Quality rating sits on a scale from 0 (Worst) -> 1 (Best) and determines the effectiveness of the balls Hardness/Softness.
